Information on magazine publishers

The biggest publishers in the music magazines are; Bauer, IPC, Dennis, Natmags and Conde Naste. All of them combined dominate roughly 90% of the music industry.

The music magazines that they each produce are;
Bauer produce- Kerrang!, Mojo and Q.

Conde Nast- Do not produce any music magazines.

IPC produce- NME and Uncut.

NatMags- Do not publish any music magazines.

Conde Nast- Do not produce any music magazines.

Dennis- Do not publish any music magazines.

Looking at this research we can see that IPC produce the music magazine NME which is by far one of the most popular magazines in the world. However also looking at this research we can see that NatMags, Conde Nast and Dennis do not produce and music magazines.

There are currently 22 music magazines in the uk. The main target audience for these music magazines are teenagers but there are some such as mojo which target an older generation.
